Jim is a Principal at Laufer Capital where he oversees the capital markets and debt advisory platform. Additionally, Jim is responsible for sourcing subordinate debt and preferred equity transactions. Before joining Laufer Capital, Jim participated in more than $2 billion of real estate debt transactions while working at Argentic Investment Management (formerly Silverpeak Argentic). Prior to that, Jim worked as a real estate attorney at Riemer & Braunstein LLP, representing financial institutions and non-bank lenders. Jim earned his B.A. from Boston College, his M.S. in Real Estate Development from Georgetown University, and his J.D. from Cardozo School of Law.
